£1.6 million of funding has been allocated for Phase 1 for the delivery of Transport Scotland’s Bus Emissions Abatement Retrofit (BEAR) programme which is now open for applications. Baumot’s BNOX system is an approved retrofit technology available for the funding.
The funding is available to licensed bus operators located in or operating eligible vehicles based on routes within one of Scotland’s cities identified in the programme to support the delivery of Scotland’s Low Emission Zones (LEZs) (Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow) and/or one of Scotland’s Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs).
Energy Saving Trust (EST) administers the fund on behalf of Transport Scotland on set eligibility criteria for grant funding agreed with Transport Scotland.
